Are you saved?

Are you certain of your salvation?

“If you were to die tonight, where would you be the instant you died?
That is a very important question.

Now if you are saved the answer to that question is found in the bible.
2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be
present with the Lord.
That is a precious promise for the believer, Christian.

But… if you are lost. That is the realization you need to make if you have never been saved. If you can’t answer
the question “Where would I be if I were to die”.
A lost man is in search of that question whether he knows it or not. Science tries to prolong our life but
eventually, we all die. You need to face your own mortality.

If you have realized that you are lost and on your way to hell, that is the first step toward
salvation. Our Lord Jesus warned about hell in
Matthew 5:22, and Matthew 10:28, and the bible teaches that hell
is a real place
Luke 16:19-31. Hell is said to be a place where the worm dieth not and the fire is not
quenched.
Matthew 9:44-48. Jesus Christ has the keys to that awful place and can deliver you from it.
Revelation 1:18.

A person who is not saved is alone in this world with no hope.
Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of
Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
The good news is (the gospel) God sent His Son into the world to die for sin, so that man could be
saved.

Without Christ we are hopeless, having no hope or any way to get ourselves to heaven.
Man cannot work his way to heaven. Man cannot do enough good works, or keep the law good
enough to obtain his own righteousness and goodness to stack up against the righteousness
of Jesus Christ. Look at the following verses carefully and make sure to put your name there so you
can understand it is personal to you.

James 2:10  For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Titus 3:5  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us,
by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Galatians 2:21  I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is
dead in vain.

If you are going to get to heaven you cannot get there by keeping the law, by being a pretty good
person, or by doing the best that you can. Doing the best you will land you in hell. You need the
righteousness of Jesus Christ to get you heaven.

WE are sinners HE was/is not.
We have sinned He never sinned.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Notice the contrast between you and Christ.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our
infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

1 Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
1 John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
Jesus Christ didn’t even know sin.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the

righteousness of God in him.
You and I can’t make that statement about ourselves. We are sinners who commit sin. Now if we
commit sin then that sin must be paid for. So, you can either trust what Christ did on the cross for you
or you can pay for your own sin. The only way to pay for your sin would be to go to “hell” and suffer
and burn for all eternity. The good news is you don’t have to do that. Christ died in your place for you
so you could have eternal life in Him. If you do not trust Christ as your Saviour, then you have the
sentence of death passed upon you and you will burn in the lake of fire for all eternity. There will be
no escape and no way to get out of that awful place.

Salvation is a free gift that God gives to all who will freely come to Him by faith in Christ’s finished
work on Calvary.
Jesus Christ did the work all you have to do is receive the free gift.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our
Lord.

Romans 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be
dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath
abounded unto many.

He paid the price so you can enjoy the benefit.

Perhaps you are curious about this special offer. I hope you are. Maybe reading this you have asked
yourself some of these questions and you cannot seem to come up with the best answer.

Now the best part…

If you would like to go to heaven all you have to do is admit you are a sinner on your way to hell and
realize you deserve that awful place for all the sins you have committed in your life.
Now put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and believe that He came to this world to die for your sins
and he was buried and he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. He will save you and
give you a home in heaven.

If you are interested in getting saved why don’t you say this simple prayer…
“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I know I deserve hell but I don’t want to go. I believe that you died
for my sins and rose again from the grave. I would like to receive you by faith. Lord Jesus, would
you save me?”

Now if you prayed that prayer YOU ARE SAVED! PRAISE THE LORD!

That is the best decision you could ever make in your life.

John 5:24 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
